The story of Villara began with Beutler Heating and Air Conditioning, founded in 1947 in Del Beutler’s garage. Del honed his skills as a sheet-metal specialist for 2 years in the U.S. Navy. After working for a year at a local sheet metal shop, he obtained his own contractor’s license.

Because of the post-war housing boom, Beutler focused on heating and ducting systems for tract homes and commercial buildings. As the demand for cooling systems increased, Beutler became the innovator.

Where We’re Going

Decades later, Beutler, now Villara: Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Solar, is still setting the standard for excellence in the HVAC trade. Our president, Rick Wylie, evolved from a talented engineer and inventor who spearheaded our drive for new and better products.

Our original founder’s vision remains our guiding light: to become the largest heating, air, and plumbing company in the country, with locations throughout Northern California.
